About the founders.

Established in 2017 by the young women of Malibu High School.

Established in 2017.

W.A.A.R was established in 2017 by 10 young women from Malibu High School. Created as an application to join Girls Build LA, we seek to gain funding to bring self-defense classes, sex education, and student empowerment to schools and make it accessible for all.

One Shared Goal.

The founders of W.A.A.R joined together to put a stop to rape and sexual assault. We believe that a simple program can be implemented into the basic curriculum ending stigmas that surround rape and sexual assault, thereby decreasing the frequency of these crimes. This program is designed to be accessible to all and applicable to all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or economic status.
